A Triumphant Year for Bon Courage Estate
Bon Courage, the third-generation Bruwer family estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, has had a very successful year so far, winning several awards at an array of wine competitions, across ranges, styles and price-points.
Winning four Veritas Gold medals, a Double Gold at Michelangelo, 6 District Champions at the SA Terroir Awards, a Top 100 SA Wines Award as well as 10 Best Value Awards, is no mean feat. Significantly, these accolades have been awarded to a large selection of Bon Courage wines, including Cap Classiques, dry white and red as well as dessert wines, made from various cultivars and retailing at prices varying between R29 and R120.
Bon Courage also took top honours at the recent Winemakers’ Choice Awards by winning 5 Diamond Awards and a prestigious trophy for the best Cap Classique on show. Furthermore the estate was declared best producer on the show for 2012..

BON COURAGE BUBBLIES TAKE TOP HONOURS AT WINE MAGAZINE’S AMORIM CORK CAP CLASSIQUE CHALLENGE FOR THE SECOND TIME
Bon Courage, the award-winning family-run Robertson estate, walked away with top honours at the recent 2010 WINE magazine Amorim Cork Cap Classique Challenge for an impressive second time, scooping the Best Blanc de Blancs award as well as being awarded Best Overall Cap Classique for their Jacques Bruére Blanc de Blancs 2007. In addition to this, the cellar's 2006 vintage was also rated among the top 5 scorers at the Challenge and Bon Courage's other Cap Classique, the Jacques Bruére Brut Reserve 2007, was selected by the Panel Chairman as one of 4 Investment Cap Classiques.

| Bon Courage Estate performs well at this year’s SA Terroir Wine Awards |

Terroir has been the 'buzzword' among wine lovers for several years now. The basic concept is to discover wines that best reflect the terroir in which they are produced. A total of 276 wines were judged at the seventh annual Novare SA Terroir Wine Awards. The wines from Bon Courage Estate did remarkably well and the estate walked away with 6 District Winners for the following wines:

According to André Bruwer, owner of Bon Courage Estate is Robertson blessed with exceptional soil. The flood plains of thousands of years ago mixed the mountain soils with the Breede river alluvial soil which makes the “terroir” on Bon Courage rather unique.
The estate enjoys the privilege of being situated at the confluence of three rivers which contributes greatly to the rich variety of soil. André and his winemaker son, Jacques, take full advantage of the opportunity to carefully harmonise soil and cultivar to achieve great diversity and exceptional quality.
All of the above wines can be purchased directly from the estate and are also available from selected retail outlets throughout the country.
